Rob Avery

Rob joins Noodle with over a decade of experience in higher education as an educator and ed tech leader. He comes to us from Cengage Learning where he led the Customer Success group, focusing on the full lifecycle of digital clients – from adoption to training, implementation, usage optimization, and renewal.

Prior to being Director of Customer Success, Rob was Director of Sales at Cengage and has had posts at Pearson Education as a District Manager, Technology Specialist, and Sales Representative. In each of these positions, Rob was at the epicenter of the massive shift in content delivery from traditional print to digital content and platforms. The constant has been Rob’s mission and passion for connecting educators and students to engaging learning tools to improve access to high-quality learning experiences that increase student retention and outcomes.

Raised in North Carolina, Rob currently resides in Knoxville, TN. He received his B.A. in Communications from Eastern University in St. Davids, PA, before matriculating to the University of Maine for an M.A. in Communication Studies. Rob completed his Ph.D. coursework in Speech Communication at the University of Georgia. Rob enjoys spending time with his two young boys, traveling, cycling, and watching college sports.
