Jacob Eakin While pursuing what seemed to be a promising future with a very well-known coffee chain company, Jacob stumbled upon a part-time gig at a private university in San Antonio, Texas. It was there that he fell in love with what he believed was the true purpose of higher education, to provide opportunities for individuals to grow. After working at multiple institutions in various positions within admissions, student services, and teaching, Jacob realized the true purpose of higher education would never be achieved if the higher education infrastructure failed to evolve. Recognizing the impact of data as a Student Retention Team Manager at a Dallas-based OPM, Jacob smoothly transitioned into a Business Analyst role within the organization. A whole new world of data and data storytelling opened up to him, urging him to find ways to improve data integrity and data interpretation. Thanks to a former coworker (thanks Cat!), Jacob was introduced to Noodle Partners and the opportunity to redefine the OPM. He now serves as a Business Analyst on the Solutions Team, supporting the organization both internally and externally as it relates to data. Jacob brings over 15 years of experience in higher education administration, operations, and IT, leading teams at a variety of universities, community colleges, and the aforementioned OPM. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Trinity University and a Master of Education from the University of the Incarnate Word. Jacob is passionate about spending time with his wife and two brilliant daughters, and building precise and sustainable data pipelines that improve the experiences for his colleagues and for our students.
